Youth For Sustainable Future is committed to involve youth to take up projects that promote sustainable growth with focus on:

• Environment
• Clean drinking water
• Education
• Heath and hygiene

We have taken up projects not only in the USA but also internationally. The goal is to maximize impact, not only by raising funds to complete projects, but to inspire the youth by creating awareness for the cause.

Drinking Water Project (India) - July 2024

Identified the second school in the rural area in Punjab (Machhiwada), India that was in need to install a filter for the drinking water dispenser. Funds were raised in the local New York community to arrange for a commercial grade water filter. The students were educated on the importance of clean drinking water to promote hygiene and health. The students then volunteered to help set up the filter.

Since this drinking water is used by all the schools, funds were raised in the local New York community to arrange for a commercial grade water filter. The students were educated on the importance of clean drinking water to promote hygiene and health. The students then volunteered to help set up the filter.

Running Against Cancer (New York) - September 2022

Partnered with 'Desi Next' at Eisenhower Park, Long Island, New York for a 5K run event to support cancer awareness in the South Asian community. Actively raised funds and all proceeds went to The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA)

It was a great chance to inspire a number of middle and high school students to join the cause.

More than 200 runners participated in the event.

Grow More Trees (India) - March 2023

Organized a team of volunteers in suburban Ludhiana, India to take a 'Grow More Trees' drive in a local  community park. The park is used by local children to play and the elderly for morning and evening walk. Five trees were planted. Volunteers promised to mobilize school kids to take up similar drives in the community.

Blogs by Agastya Mittal - 2021 - Present

Youth for Sustainable Future founder, Agastya Mittal, has been writing blogs on diverse topics related to sustainable future. The topics are of national and international importance and address current political, social and economic events that have a lasting impact on the environment and the world. These blogs are also widely followed on the social media.

• Water filtration project in Tanzania, Africa for a local school (Project Cost ~$1,000)
• Water filtration project in Nigeria, Africa for a local school (Project Cost ~$1,000)
